The mansion is located on the very place where the famous impressionist painter, Alfred Sisley, lived.
From this area he completed many of his masterpieces, which are still famous worldwide today.
The anglo–normand architecture is exceptionally rare. It is typical of XIXth century romantic cottages.
The inside has been designed by the owner itself, an interior designer for Parisian clients. This house offers all the charm of an antique home combined with modern comforts and facilities.
Environment
Marly le Roi is a charming little town, 12 km from Paris.
Its history was made by kings of France as Louis XIVth had his private castle built in the beautiful park. The village, whose buildings are protected by the French historical heritage authority, has kept over the years its typical french antique charm over the years.
A few meters away from the magnificent Abreuvoir, the mansion is set back from the road which preserves calm and tranquility and giving it outstanding views on the park and its very famous sculptures « les chevaux de Marly ».
Only a few minutes walk from the house is the station whose train goes directly to Paris St Lazare (Opéra district) in 30 mins.
In the low traffic hours, 2 highways take you to the capital in 20 to 30 mins.
Marly-le-Roi is a city of 16 000 inhabitants where you can find everything necessary for daily life (vegetable market, cinema, indoor swimming-pool, poney club, public transports, malls, supermarket,…). Also, you can join Versailles or Saint Germain en Laye in 10 minutes drive away (also accessible by bus).
In Versailles, a part from visiting the castle and the park, you can also rent bikes, attend firework shows, musical water shows with fountains and historical shows. You will find many shops as well (clothing, antiques, markets, …) as well as theaters, cinemas, luxurious spas (Trianon Palace), museums and famous riding schools shows.
Ten minutes drive from the house, you will also find the large mall « Parly 2 » where you have most french and international shops.
Just outside Marly le Roi, Saint-Germain-en-Laye is commonly known as « the little Paris ». Its charm and facilities are worth the visit : many restaurants, pedestrian streets and shops, especially the food market, its cultural dynamism has contributed to it being a very nice town to discover. The castle was a part of François 1er or Catherine of Medicis royal residences.
Around the house, there are forests to walk or ride bikes.
The closest village, Le Port-Marly which was immortalized by the impressionists painters, shelters the famous « Bords de Seine » with nautic activities and cruise-boats rides.
We are also located at the entrance of the magnificent Vallée de Chevreuse, famous for its exceptional villages in a rural style, and many castles. In two hours drive (or by train) is the famous resort of Deauville and its beautiful beach, in Normandy.

The house is divided into 3 floors and a basement:
Ground Floor includes
A large hall which offers a vue on an impressive staircase opened on two very high windows.
A locker-room communicating with guests toilets and a hand basin.
A large kitchen, harmoniously matching modern comfort facilities, noble materials as quartz or oakwood, with a subtle reference to the ancient style of the house. You will as well find a table seating 4/5 people.
The kitchen has a direct access to a wooden terrace where there is an outdoor dining table (8/10 persons) with a gas BBQ.
The living room, drowned with daylight, is laid out in a « modern art gallery » style. It has a modern fireplace that can be used in the winter. It opens directly on a small terrace, facing south, which is ideal for afternoon farniente.
On the same level you will find the dining room, in a more classical style reminding the ancient country houses « Curiosity Cabinet».
The table can seat 10 to 12 guests (up to 19 upon request).
Next to the dining room is a ravishing « jardin d’hiver » with its 8 bound windows, very romantic for the afternoon tea when you want to enjoy the light and sun. It is the ideal place to read, paint or take a nap surrounded by nature.
1st floor
A large floor gives access to 3 bedrooms with private bathrooms and a laundry room.
The Renoir Room has a double bed and a separate shower cabinet with toilets, triple exposition and an incredible view on the garden. It can welcome two persons .
The Pissaro Room, is a small suite, offering a very nice view on the park with a single bed and a separate bathroom with a shower and a double sink. A piano and TV are also included. The toilet is separate for this room and is located in the laundry room on the same floor.
The Monet Room offers a double bed, a closet and furniture in a mid-century style. It is next to a large bathroom with a bath, separate shower and toilets.
On the same floor the laundry room has a washing machine, drying machine, a vacuum cleaner, ironing devices and separate toilets.
On the 2nd floor
are 3 more bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
The Degas Room offers a double and a single bed, TV, desk, and a convertible sofa.
The Play Room has two single beds designed as a small dormitory and is in a young child style, with children games, books and toys.
In the hallway is a bathroom with shower and toilets. There is also another separate toilet on the same floor.
Lastly, the Sisley Room is a large parental suite with a double bed, separate dressing-room and cabled TV. It communicates with a bathroom with a bath. The two balconies offer astonishing views on the Parc de Marly.
Each floor is equiped with a WIFI device in order to have an excellent connection from every place in the house.
The Basement offers
A scullery to stock food and the second refrigerator / freezer.
Guest toilets
A family room with a large TV and PS4 with games and DVDs.
The convertible sofa can welcome 2 guests.
A private access to the outdoors.
A Wellness Room including a treadmill, indoor bicycle, alteries, a 2 persons Infra-red Sauna and a Italian shower.
