Katia Lobato Founder of Les Demoiselles à Versailles

A Versailles native at heart, woman of law and trustee of exceptional places.

From the law to the art of receiving

Almost ten years ago, beside the Palace of Versailles, an idea emerged: to offer not only accommodation, but also a true escape from daily life.

The concept originated with Katia Lobato, a qualified lawyer holding a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property Law. Over fifteen years ago, she was sworn in as a court clerk at the Paris Commercial Court and subsequently occupied several roles within the legal sector before assuming management responsibilities at a travel agency.

Although these two domains may appear unrelated, they are united by common values—dedication to serving humanity and commitment to excellence in delivering outstanding experiences.

Les Demoiselles à Versailles began as a family project for her daughters, Diane and Victoria, both born in Versailles—a nod to the city that influenced them. The project is dedicated to sharing what she describes as the French art of living (l’Art de vivre à la française).

Katia developed her career within a predominantly male environment, where she demonstrated leadership and resilience. She established Les Demoiselles à Versailles by dedicating evenings and weekends to the venture, all while balancing family responsibilities.

“I spent many sleepless nights. I worked for my business on weekends and evenings. It was very intense.”

Today, she runs it alone.

“I serve as the president of my company and independently oversee all operations. I am responsible for directing every aspect of the business.”

“People still ask whether I have a partner or if I am genuinely in charge.”

Luxury lies in what cannot be seen

For Katia Lobato, luxury isn’t measured in stars or square feet. It’s experienced in the invisible details, in the attention paid to every moment, in the ability to anticipate without imposing.

Each property in the collection has been personally selected. Each place tells a story. Each stay becomes a memory.

She owes this sensitivity to her paternal grandmother.

“My grandmother was quite a charismatic figure. A very generous and kind woman. She was a dancer, a bit different. I like strong personalities, and since my grandmother was a key figure in my life, I think she particularly inspired me.”

Her values

Integrity, loyalty, kindness, stability

The bar is high, but these are the essential values.

Capture the magic of each moment
Pause to reflect,
Observe with childlike curiosity,
Value an experience that remains timeless,
And recognize that this apartment is designed to inspire your aspirations.
Enjoy comfort without limitations.

Enough words for now, we invite you to visit and experience it personally.

Welcome to the Demoiselles at Versailles and Carpe Diem.

This project is dedicated to its two little princesses, Diane and Victoria, born in Versailles.

"It will probably be…

One morning, Katia welcomed a Canadian couple into her first apartment, 50 yards from the gates of the Château. They were nearly 90 years old. Three floors without an elevator.

They confided this sentence to her, simply.

“They touched me. I thought to myself, ‘That could have been my grandparents. They came as a couple; it might be their last trip ever.'”

That day marked a turning point: precious experiences, unforgettable travels, and lasting memories became clear. The weight of ensuring these moments remain remarkable is immense.

The Les Demoiselles in Versailles Conciergerie was created precisely for this purpose—to serve people like them and others seeking memorable experiences.

From one apartment to an international portfolio

A single apartment near the Château has become a portfolio of remarkable residences throughout France and beyond, including locations in Versailles, Paris, the French Riviera, the Alps, Marrakech, and Ibiza.

The company has been praised by the Palace of Versailles magazine, National Geographic Traveler, M6 (French TV), Luxe.net and numerous media outlets.

Katia Lobato has also created DV Créations Luxe, a high jewelry house, a natural extension of this quest for excellence and beauty.

What does she see as success?

“Success isn’t about the word ‘success,’ I find that pretentious. Success is more about fulfillment, accomplishment, and inspiring others. I find it beautiful to be able to inspire. It’s a wonderful gift.”
